union - cannot connect to db server

Hi All
Long time UE player on Union. Today - when I get the server list and I try to select Union - it hangs for 15 seconds then kicks me back to login screen saying "cannot connect to db server"
However I can get to character select on both Defiant and Virtue.
I've tried running a repair -no good.
If it was a firewall issue - wouldn't it be the same for all servers?
Any Ideas ?

I have something similar, but on union I can character select, but then go back to login screen where it tells me im already logged on when I try to enter again - continual loop.

I get the same issue on Virtue. (American player on Virtue since the game started)

I get this same issue, though without the message, on both Union and Virtue. However I can log into my Praetorian Character...weird.

I got booted from Union at around 8:35pm UK time but it seemed to resolve itself after 5 or 10 minutes.

Badging character: Bimble on the Union server, Badgehunter.com and City Info Tracker.

I got it to work in the end by putting -verify at the end of the shortcut and launching via that rather than the launcher.
This seemed to fix it
