In the interest of speeding up the story progression a bit, this will be a threefer weekend. The next 3 portions of the official story thread will be posted (on that thread, obviously) over the next 48 hours, starting with "Provocation", which I just posted.

You also get your pick of any costume recipe (salvage included), if you want one, courtesy of the Mentor Project.

JWB here--- just a quick note folks, these will most likely just be cameos. you know, the "oh look its..." kind of thing. Just please give us a character name, hero or villain, and a brief description of your appearance.
But, if you think you want to take a bigger part in things, get with Stalemate and let him know what you might be able to do. Contributing partners might get a bigger part.

This would not affect your character's lore or reputation in any way, for those applying for the cameos.
Also, anyone who hosts an event on July 9 will be offered the option of tying into the Day of Vigilance plotline (but no obligation to do so). Some have already proposed activities with this in mind, and we're still awaiting some confirmations from others.
This is a great way to get some spotlight upon your SG / VG, and could be used as a venue to recruit or promote if you're looking to expand.

There will soon be a dedicated Ventrilo server made available for the Protector community.
Indeed, @Lotus Maximus will be announcing it officially at a later date, but he's authorized me to mention right now that there will be a channel made available in time for our event named Protector Vigilance.
Even if you're not a big fan of participating in voice chat, simply listening in just *might* give participants an added advantage that the type chat players will not have. ;-)
