Duo Team

So I've been looking forward to making a scrapper, and me and a friend would each like to make a toon specifically for us 2 duo-farming and such. I've been thinking about spines, but we are levelling 1-50 together and everything. Neither one of us has decided on what to make, what would you suggest the best duo-team? (I'm going to be a scrapper, she can be anything else lol)

I think a tank/scrapper team would do pretty good. You have the tank to hold aggro and you can dish out the damage.

I have a willpower/energy tank that I really like. I can run him at +3 to +4/x8 in ae mish and do good solo.

You might want to also try a mastermind. My brother has a demon summoning/pain which is pretty butch. Lacking in defense, it makes it up in damage and heals.

I duo quite often with a friend and he has a db/wp brute and I have a fire/sd scrapper. We often, OFTEN, take on AVs with no problems. Of course I also think either of us could solo them. Usually I like to run AOE oriented toons and he tends to like the single taget toons better, which works out great for us. Also I have a spines/dark which is insane in combo with his db/wp. We run most everything at +2(or higher)/x8 and only die when we do something really dumb.
But all in all I think just about anything could be a good duo if you each know how the other plays. My friend is a huge lover of herding so that works for my AOE fetish.

Yea, I understand that, lol, I just don't know exactly WHAT to be...I have had thoughts about fire/sd, but my ele/sd is SUPER boring, and he is level 45, so I thought fire/sd wouldn't be so much different. I also have a spine/dark at level 41, I can't even use 2 attacks without my end running out, so I understand it will cost a lot, but either way, a spine/dark could not level to 50 with the end problems it has in a duo team, in my opinion. I do want a spine scrapper, or something that can farm easily, but not something that is going to make me quit within 5 seconds of playtime. I am definitely thinking about spine/regen or something with fire melee.

Have you considered spines/fire? most of the aoe of /dark, but not much of the end issues.

I have to say I still don't have a lowbie toon that I feel like my end is under control at all times. So I don't think about that when making toons. Spines/fire has consume but not until MUCH later (if I remember correctly - it's my son's toon not mine). Really the only way to not have to worry about end is to slot appropriately. Usually until I can get level 30/35 standard IOs I focus on dealing with the end issues with SOs first then acc, then dmg. I find if I am REALLY struggling with end I don't keep the toon long.

But my lvl 50 spines/dark is a lawn mower. I did use the Body Mastery to completely get rid of my end concerns but now with the Cardiac Alpha I am planning on respeccing out of Body Mastery and into Fire Mastery for some fireball goodness. But Energy Torrent works really well with Ripper currently.

For you partner: anything buff set and a decent AoE. Kinetics would be able to fix your endurance problems and run your damage to cap. Mobs will melt, drops will be plenty if not necessarily helpful, and you will both enjoy the run.

1) Both reg scrappers with claws/spins
2) Dominator and controller
3) Both Masterminds
