Soldiers and Power Pools

According to Mids, I can choose a variety of Patron Pools or Power Pools for my Bane. However, even after moving him from villain to rogue, I can't access the Energy Power Pool during my respec. Is Mids wrong, or is there something in-game that I'm not doing correctly?

Please try my arcs:

Arc# 63910 "Why Do Bad Girls Like Bad Boys?" (length=Long, levels 40+)
Arc# 401500 "How to Be a Successful Professional Criminal" (length=Very Long, levels 1-10)

If by "power pools" you mean Ancillaries then no, VEATs don't have access to hero Ancillary pools at all.

And going Rogue wouldn't be enough to unlock them anyway. You have to go full hero or villain to gain access to Ancillary/Patron pools respectively (You also have to complete the Patron arc to unlock the Patron pools).

Wanna play a Peacebringer? Don't believe the hype. Check out my guide and get the real truth:
PEACEBRINGERS SUCK!!! (Now fully up to date for i21+ )

This is correct, SoAs get access to Patron Power Pools (once they unlock them anyway) but do not get Ancillary Power Pools.

This, however, is not. All characters have access to the appropriate Ancillary Power Pools for thie rAT (which in the case of SoAs is none) regardless of Alignment (Hero/Villain/Vigilante/Rogue all get equal access). In order to unlock Patron Power Pools you must be either a Rogue or a Villain and run a Patron arc. Once you have unlocked the PPPs by running the arc you can always access them even if you change alignment to Hero or Vigilante.
