Issue 21 should be in approx 3 to 4 mos. That is the history and probably what PR has for scheduling. That is their 'inside' timeline.
They will only tell their customers when they can give a very close to certain proximation of a scheduled release.
This is all normal and to be expected from a company. Announcing a timeframe too soon and not being able to keep it is not a good thing.
Issue 21 will most likely contain the last four slots. We will have to face off against the remaining Cole Lt's in the next two trials.
Issue 21 will probably also contain 2 small TF/SF for the lower levels as did Issue 20. I say small because of the time frame they can be done in.
I believe Issue 21 will be like this because of how 19 and 20 were handled and what we have been getting for some time now in terms of 'issue content'.
We *might* get a few random pieces of costumes by then, but most likely not. Paid boosters seem to be the way they want to go now. Also the art department is tied up with demands from the 'issues'.
I personally feel that Issue 22 will have the Omega slot and the final confrontation with ole numbnuts Tyrant Cole.
We will see then a revamp of one of the Legacy TFs as the team will have the 'time' since only the final slots and trial will be agaisnt Cole.
Again I think this because of the way and type of content that has been released.
It *could* be that the coming storm which has been the slowest ever coming storm will be in the issue, but I highly suspect that will be at best Issue 23.
As for Developer Communication.....
I think.. that we should try to thank Jack for having the team be so very talkative since the beginning.
Then, we should thank Posi for continuing it.
Now... we should look to Melissa and ask her to continue that with us.
We *have* grown used to high communication, in fact, we now expect it.
Do we have a *right* to expect that? In terms of the community feel and perception, yes we do. In terms of our dollars expecting it. No, we don't.
We lost two very vocal people when Brawler was let go and Castle quit.
Why haven't the two replacements stepped up and continued that high vocals with us? Why has Melissa allowed the communication to dwindle so much?
I realize that posting to the forums is not their job requirement. However, we are always told that they love and play the game.
We don't always need to know the inside reason why they choose to do X or Y.
But I feel, we do need to feel the connection to the Dev team as we have in the past. We do need to feel like even those making the game are part of the community too. A community, which even the Reviews have stated is a tight nit and positive force for this game.
So.... Melissa.. encourage the posting again. It doesn't always have to be about X or Y, it can be about... Jay posting notes why you are talking on the live chat. It could be about questions and discussions relating to anything. And yes.. it can also be about why X was done over Y too if desired.
