RP Advice: Lore

So, I've been sitting back and thinking that the best way to Lore out Nalrok was to go seers. Floating psychic ladies who heal and buff him; cool right?

Recently, it dawned on me that Nalrok's closest ally is Kybernetis Einheit (Bot/FF MM), a quarter-human cyborg whom he keeps alive with a soul contract. I've recently been in awe of the WarWorks NPCs. My favorite thing to watch is the BCU/9CU "full auto"-- PWOOM PWOOM PWOOM PWOOM PWOOM!

Now, if Nalrok shares a soul contract with a human who is mostly machine and can construct/convert his own robots and war machines, is it out of his reach to slot in a Warworks Lore pet? The only problem is, it looks like both trees top out with Victoria's... I don't want a Victoria.

That said, were you in my position, where would you take Lore?

Advice is appreciated.

The one side gives you a Victoria and an ACU, which is the one you did want...

Comrade Smersh, KGB Special Section 8 50 Inv/Fire, Fire/Rad, BS/WP, SD/SS, AR/EM
Other 50s: Plant/Thorn, Bots/Traps, DB/SR, MA/Regen, Rad/Dark - All on Virtue.

You could go Core Clockwork, which I believe gives you a Mender and... the big boss ones. I forget the name. Builder? I dunno exactly.

Dismantler, I think. It's about 7 or 8 feet with a chest cannon. But I think he's liking the underslung cannons of the ACUs, which I agree, make a very satisfying sound.

An option is to go only to the Rare level of Warworks Lore and go with the Radial path, going either Warworks Partial Radial Improved Ally, which gives you an ACU and a Battle Orb capable of attacks and support powers, or Warworks Total Radial Improved Ally, which is an ACU with an invulnerable Battle Orb (it has no attacks, just support powers, but it can't be attacked either, so you've got it's support for a full 5 minutes). The ACU would be just an LT, but it'd be an ACU none the less.

You want to know the secret of the world? It's this: Save it, and it'll repay you, every second of every day.

Lore would be awesome if there was a wider selection of chooseable minions, but right now, as with the other incarnates, the theme is less than magic-friendly.

Ice/Ice Blaster. Dedication to concept is an ugly thing.
Claws/WP Brute. Sex without the angst.
Every CoX character lies somewhere on this spectrum.

Not if you use a little imagination and refluff them a bit.

You're bringing forth the spirits of defeated enemies. How is that not magic friendly?

Robot ghosts, I summon thee!

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

Either that or you take the soul of one of your conquered foes and bind it to a man-made shell with sigils painted in their own blood, ensuring they exist forever as a mockery of their former selves; looking upon a world with a body that cannot taste, smell or feel, and still aware of their burning hatred for you yet unable to refuse your orders. Called upon to serve their murderer time and again, they will be cut down time and again, returning to a place beyond life and death where nothing exists but their own mind and the cold, yawning abyss until their taskmaster brings them forth for another glimpse at a world that has long forgotten them, an endless cycle that continues until their will is finally broken and they become as dead in spirit as they are in flesh, indistinguishable from the mindless machine that its body once was.

It's a little long for a bio note, though, so you probably are better off with just "magic robots."

But not space ghosts. I learned my lesson last time.

As it's been said: Bringing forth the souls of defeated enemies is very magic friendly. Never mind that there are magic and psychic robots in CoH's lore, so having them in Lore doesn't seem like a stretch, now does it?

I'd prefer something that you didn't have to contort into a pretzel to justify, is all I'm saying.

Personally, I'd like some of the previous temp-power summonable pets as options. None of the current options fit my main at all. A Winter Horde snowman, however...
