I'll admit this is probably going to sound "lolnoob" to somebody. Oh well.
I think the Incarnate salvage explosion we have now is overly complicated. As I try to run trials, I sit at the end and try to find "Um, which one of these things do I need for what?" There was a little of that with Alpha, yes, but with just one branch and one group of salvage, it wasn't too bad.
Now I'm spending (wasting) time hunting back and forth at the end of a trial, or going "the heck with it" and just picking something to break down later.
(Edit: This had two possible suggestions in it before, but the first didn't really come out the way I wanted, so I'm just concentrating on the second, and hopefully editing the title!)
So, instead of sitting just as is, give me an option to pick the path I want to take through the trees ahead of time. If I want Void, the Clockwork pet, Musculature, etc. let me pick that tree and have it auto-pick what's needed (and have it auto-create it when I have all the components.) Threads get autoconverted into the salvage you need. Leftover threads, you can choose to keep or manually turn into something else.
You can change this or turn it off at any point, so if you only wanted to get to the Uncommon of Void, for instance, but go all the way with one of the Ion branches, you could. Or if you wanted to stop and just get a ton of threads to convert into Incarnate XP, you could, then start back up again. Your rewards would be auto-picked (and auto-converted if INF isn't involved) from the trials at the end. If you don't need one of the trial reward table offerings, it would let you pick one after notifying you or you could let it randomly pick and break down into threads or whatever.
I'd really like something like this in place by the time we get to the OTHER five slots, or it's going to be even more confusing of a mess.
(It would look something like this with a path picked and the "auto select" at the bottom of each slot. )
Wanted: Origin centric story arcs.
If you've only played an AT once (one set combo) and "hate" it - don't give up. Roll a different combo. It may just be those sets not clicking for you.

Not sure how to implement, but I like the suggestion. I know the feeling too since last I was on a completed BAF and was doing exactly the same thing going back and forth figuring out my path for salvage.
