No new characters?

Unfortunately, I'm stuck in the same boat 
I read here:

that they're aware of the issue...
It seems there are a lot of other small things going wrong at the moment... Such as team TF missions disbanding unexpectedly... I'm not sure what the fix priority is, but hopeful it will be soon =]

The issue with not allowing new characters to be created usually happens when the NCStore goes down - character slots (whether purchased or vet rewards) beyond the "basic 12" become unavailable.

I'm having the same issue.
I deleted one character and went to remake him, only to see that the slot was locked.
On the plus side, where I previously had 1 slot redemption available, I now have 8. They don't really need to fix that part...

same thing happened to me, my guess is that you were "refunded" any slots beyond the initial number if they weren't filled. I had two redeemed slots that I got from GR, one was empty before the change. after the change the slot was locked but it sai I had 1 available slot.
ok wierd, so I deleted an alt and then I eneded up with 2 slots I could open (on any server) but the one I freed up became locked, so I just redeemed one of the slots

Announcement.
I currently can't create any new characters. I deleted a previously created character and that slot is now unavailable. Is this happening to others? Will this be resolved soon?
