could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll? that does this mean it only happened since last night between then and this morning..something wqrong with ncsoft today?

not getting any help. From what i read. they are basically giving the bird to anyone who dosent have service pack 3. And i cant download service pack 3 bcause i dont have 2, and i dont have two becausei dont have any operating discs to formatt..Um wtf man. Did i really just waste 6 years of my life on this game for nothing...

Wait you are running Xp service pack 1? Yeah, you probably have a corrupted file somewhere. Noone supports that anymore.

If you do a google search you should be able to get SP2 in a download and SP3 also. You don't need the original OS disks to install them.

Oh, and also, I hope you aren't doing anything with credit cards, finacial data, you SSN, etc on that machine, cause it is ripe for someone to have put malware (Viruses, trojans, rootkits) on the machine and steal your info without your knowledge.

This is the answer, and was actually determined by some folks early on in beta testing. Thus far, it only affects people who don't have their Service Packs updated. Paragon Studios is looking into it, but the easiest solution is simply to run the free updates.

Outside of stolen software, there are really very few people who legitimately can't upgrade to SP3.

I'm having this same problem. I had it running Windows 2000 SP2 (I know it's old, but it worked), so I upgraded to SP4 and still have the problem. The strange thing is, I've had the problem with the beta server since issue 19 on it, and I20 dropping proliferated the problem to the main updater. But I can still use test just fine. So obviously there's a version of the CoH software that won't run into that problem even with the I20 content.

surprisingly i was able to install sp3. First i installed sp2, then it would freeze during loading time. Then i went into safemode and installed sp3, and ran a system check, deleted some viruses and other stuff. And then started it again. How its working i do not know. but it works...
