Eradication proc
In my experience procs are not a good choice in the damage auras. They fire off every 10 seconds, but there is little guarantee that anything will be in range when those 10 seconds arrive. Thus they are very unreliable.
Until I see something that states to the contrary, going to assume VK is right .

Personally, I don't think procs are a bad idea in damage auras, since even though they only proc every 10 seconds, they do have a chance to hit every foe in range.
However, if you have to choose between slotting the aura fully for damage and adding the proc, slot for damage first since that will always apply to all targets. If you have enough slots to add a proc as well, then great, but don't underslot assuming that the proc will make up the damage--it won't.

Groovy- just what I needed to know. Thank you!
Hi Forumites. I have a DA/SM tank and am 4-slotting Eradication in Death Shroud. Is the Eradication chance for damage proc a good idea or would I be better off going for straight damage? I know it checks the proc once every ten seconds, but am unsure which method comes out ahead in the long run.

If your accuracy sucks, you're shortchanging yourself. Same with damage and endurance.
Are you at ED cap on all three of those? If so, then you can look at procs as 'extra's.
