Seeking Pet-averse/AOE-centric Crab Build
Interestingly enough this is almost exactly what I did on my crab - I have two builds, one I call my gun crab build and the other a melee/pet build. The gun crab DOES have a pet, mostly because you can only take so many AoE attacks before you have to many and the spiderlings are so nice. Otherwise it is a basically a crab version of the huntsman build (which is normally a bane). My AoE attack chain is venom grenade -> suppresion -> bile spray -> heavy burst (if there is anything left after the first 3 AoE's). The build is softcapped to ranged and melee and has decent AoE Def (35%), plus it has almost 50% smashing/lethal resists and about 40% to everything else but psi.
If you really don't want to take the spiderlings, you could always pick up frag grenade or omega manuever in its place.

Right now, I have a crab at... 30 I think, haven't played him since I returned (which is why I'm here to respec him for inherent fitness.) I've been opening Venom grenade -> Frag grenade -> Suppression then single target attacks. I've just had no idea how to slot him. As I said above, I'll be starting a new crab to test a concept, but keeping this one in case the concept character doesn't work out.
Here is my build its a little out dated tho. I need to take all the slots out of spirt shark because I never use it. Channalgun is almost compleatly recharged I bet with 5 extra slots I can make it perma.
I went with Cardiac Alpha.

Hey guys, I want to start a crab from scratch to fit a concept, but I'm *really* not interested in the Spiderlings or a pet focus. I have masterminds when I want to let others do the killing. (I'd include the disruptors for special situations though.)
I'm looking for maximum AOE damage, with whatever defenses I can get. For a change of pace, I'll make a melee-centric tank build on my second build. Are there any particular i19 builds that people are using that don't focus on the pets?
