Sound Issues

My friend and I decided to play COH over another friends house. So I took my desktop computer over to his place and my friend brought their laptop. When we log in we notice that certain sound effects are missing, when I get my computer back home the issue persist. Any Ideas on whats wrong and how to resolve? Example of issue: When you log in to account there is no sound, can not hear sound effects of character moving, jumping, taking damage.

Can you hear any sounds from your computer? Most likely issue is you just accidentally plugged the speakers into the wrong port on the back.

Yes, I can hear the sounds from computer fine, I can hear music from COH but sound effects are not present. Its the sounds such as the dee dee dee sound when you log in.

Checked that as well, they are where they always are, even turned all the way up, there are some sound effects but not all. Example: you can not hear your toon running or jumping but you can hear some powers activate.

I'm not at home so I can't tell you exactly what the setting is called, but I think there is an option for 3D sound.

If that is enabled, try disabling it and restarting your client.

Thanks for the tips, I sent my computer back in time before I went to my friends house and issue is now resolved, its amazing how those little sounds really made a difference in my game play. Again thanks for the help!
