Where is everyone?

Hi. I've resubscribed after a half year away and just got Going Rogue. I frequently see Virtue in yellow or even red loading but when I sign on no one seems available for teams. I actually recruit (and have had few problems since 2004) so I'm not just passively LFT. I got a sense in 2010 that the sevver populations wee declining, but even then I never had too much trouble. Now with high server loads on prime times I'm hard pressed to find a team in the under level 20 categories (Red or Blue side).

Looking at /search shows few people of any level interested in teaming and surprisingly few people in general I can even send tells. Is everyone just hidden these days? Pick up groups all but dead? What am I missing? I've tried to ask the few I have teamed with over the last few days what's going on but no one seems to know.

Couple things might be the prob or the lack of Virtuites and that is the closed beta for issue 20 and the WST (TinMage task force for the incarnates) in the RWZ. But any who Im rogue also on my Corr and I have run into this prob too.

I'm a little burned out here for the TMTF soooo I been also trying to get teams blue and redside (for shards). But I think its just a cyclical thing lol it will all come back around in other words. But on the plus side I have made new friends on redside (which I dont play on that much) and when your on look me up @Fire Chief

Good to know I'm not the only one. I will look for you online. I am doing more CoV as I've never made it higher than 26 on villains. I'm surprised to find so many vet players in the few teams I put together. I wonder if this game no longer attracts new people. I also wonder how many people it really takes to red a server.

The last unofficial poll that was conducted shows that about half of the people playing hide from searches (I'm one of the hiders), but fear not. Pick up groups are far from dead.

What you need to do is join the server's global channels. Depending on when you last played, global channels are new. They're like broadcast, but they are cross zone and even cross server. People in other zones and even in missions can see your messages, making teaming a great deal easier.

Redside is a bit barren, but it's not impossible to find and create teams there. Just this past week I've been playing a low-ish brute through the Isles and I've not had issue finding a team.

I never once used /search, though.

Holy crow! The world is based on supreme coincidences. I joined that group Saturday or Sunday on a whim from a broadcast. I'm Zordanna!

As was stated before, much of this reason can probably be attributed to the Weekly Strike Task. Many players are playing their upper level toons to take advantage of that, and to gain Incarnate Shards on their 50s.

This in turn means that fewer people are running lowbies, and I've seen very few lowbies that are actually new players. I attribute that to two things: with Going Rogue, the size of this game can be quite overwhelming for a new player who knows nothing about it, and there are less veteran players hanging around the starting areas, able to offer a helping hand a friendly face. Not to say that this won't change, because I believe it will, but for now it is just a down period for PuGs in lower zones.
