Assuming you are talking about a UPS - we would need to know what you want to run under battery power following a mains failure - in particular the power consumption and for how long it needs to run - should it shut down the PC automatically or just sound an alarm/send email/text to let you know.
However an alternative would be to replace the battery/batteries in the existing unit - they are normally standard sealed lead acid batteries - they should probably be designed for "deep cycle" use - e.g. those used in leisure batteries for caravans but often they are just ordinary ones.

There are two important factors in choosing a UPS; the power rating it needs to cleanly supply the load, and the battery capacity needed to run that load for the desired time.
I would suggest using a good power supply calculator (example), accurately measuring your system under max load with something like a Kill-A-Watt meter, or both. This will give you an idea of what rating it needs. For most home users just looking to have enough time to run through a momentary glitch or to have a few minutes to shut down cleanly, the default battery will probably be adequate; for those looking for longer runtimes, you'd probably want a unit that has add-on battery packs to extend runtime.
On the lower end, APC makes some decent consumer units, and while their higher-end units can also be nice they're somewhat pricey. When I needed to replace/upgrade my previous model, I went with a CyberPower adaptive sine wave system, which had better features and more competitive pricing than some of the better known names; I've been happy with it.

I bought mine at Microcenter:
Power Saving Back-UPS XS 1500 with AVR - $199
It has an optional (you can turn it off) digital display to monitor load and estimated remaining run-time. It also includes software that allows you to see the specs from your computer screen instead, as well as options to automatically safely shut down your software/system if the battery gets too low.
It's running my tower, monitor, cable modem, router, and laptop (whose battery doesn't work).
While running the game, it's only using at about 250w (28% load), with about 22 minutes of remaining time if my power were to go out. That gives me enough time to finish any mission I might be doing at the time. lol. I love it!
YMMV depending on hardware and usage. I picked a 865 Watt unit even though my PC alone has a 750w power supply, but that's because I already had a UPS before and knew how much power I was really using (and because it was on sale for $150 at the time, lol).
