Hey gang, i have decided its about time to IO set my tanker up. i have absolutly no clue about IO sets or how to slot IO sets, when i do IOset up my toons i usually copy other peoples builds. after about 2 hours lastnight and an hour or so today searching for stone/ice build i have found nothing.
So i was wondering if any kind person wouldnt mind spending a few mins to help me out?

I team alot with this tanker and very rarely solo
I currenly have the cardiac Tier 3 alpha slot (im not sure if i should change this with a new build)
i have about 600-700 million to spend, if needed i dont mind spending more.
Being in granite can be slow and tedious without a kin so if possible i would like to have abit more movement speed and recharge


I have come up with a build i would like (but without slots and IOs)
I know i am asking alot but i am truly out of my depths with this

Since you're already going to be highly survivable in Granite form, you may want to focus on movement speed IO bonuses. As such, sets like Gift of the Ancients for your Defense powers, and Focused Smites in your single target attacks might be a good idea. The Gift of the Ancient's IO for runspeed can actually be slotted by itself, if you want other set bonuses.

Using these can actually make up for a lot of the movement penalty that you will suffer. Slotting Swift up for runspeed will also help, though it doesn't take IO sets, it can still take level 50 runspeed common IOs.

Edit -> Also, swap Frozen Touch and Greater Ice Sword. FT is a better attack pretty much all around. GIS is actually a pretty bad power.

First, please check out my guide on Ice Melee in my sig. Understand, I wrote it after years of playing it on my own Stone/Ice. You need to take Frost & Freezing Touch way earlier (like as soon as they're available) and drop GIS. There's a thread on why GIS sucks going on right now.

Second, you may also want to consider a Stone tank, esp. one w/Ice Patch, as not needing Granite all that often. You're already taking Maneuvers; consider also Tough & Weave in addition to your other armors, so take Rock, Crystals, Minerals and even Brimstone. You can end up with your S/L/E/N/Psi defenses softcapped outside of Granite, which means your recharge & damage are undiminshed, though your run speed will be even worse in Rooted than Granite. You may have to make some compromises w/your budget though.

My own Stone/Ice can tank all the end-game TFs w/o using Granite once with very few exceptions--tower buffed LR, the hydra in Apex, Veng-fueled Bobcat, that's kinda about it. Rom, Reich, all those guys are pushovers out of Granite. And at the end of the day, you still have Granite to fall back on when you happen to get in a spot of trouble.

Ok, so i have come up with this; what do you think? can improve on?
i have slotted alot for +movement for when a /kin isnt in the team.
i know that i dont have alot of psi resistance but i am willing to just avoid anything with psi damage x

Some people prefer having the Data Chunk up there along with the build, so they don't need to download anything of teh interwebz..

Build:
I know you've spent quite a bundle of shards getting your cardiac rare, but you really shouldn't need it. I would suggest going Recharge, because having your attacks up and ready is awesome.

You appear to only be focusing on using Granite, which has its ups and downs. Of course, if you ever do exempt below level 27 you will not have any armor.
I suggest grabbing Rock armor.

I also suggest grabbing Tough and Weave, just because with Weave you can get rid of a Kinetic Combat set and save yourself quite a lot of influence. I know you have the Leadership pool in there because you team fairly often, but the tank values for those toggles are not the greatest. Tough/Weave will be more beneficial to you.

Opened up the build, switched around powers ... got S/L/F/C/E/N to 45% , capped S/L (Toxic only when EE is up) resistance. And you have 6% recharge.
Movespeed is only 5.6 with Rooted/Granite on, but that is still quite alot.
Didn't slot in the Cardiac, but I do suggest taking Spiritual because it will improve your recharge (meaning more attacking for you) and your regeneration rate (meaning you will heal more per second)
