hey guys just returned to the game and noticed fitness is now inherent and lots of other things have changed. last time i was on game i had my build just about perfect as to how i wanted it, now though all that has changed somewhat. just wondering what is a good invuln/ss build that i could use as a reference point including enhancements. i looked in the player guides but those seem to be concept builds instead of end game builds, so just wondering if anyone could help me out with some pointers. i havent respecced yet cause i havent been able to play around with mids and dont really know how i want to respec the toon, he is still very effective and wanted to get more information before i respecced. thanks for the help and i look forward to bashing some bad guys with all of you soon.

First, grab yourself a copy of Mids.

Okay here's a look at my current build. Mainly a "cap S/L and done" build.
Don't sweat the purples. They're leftovers from when they were MUCH cheaper in i12. You'll also see where I screwed up my last respec, as the intention of the build is a smooth decay of defense down to level 30 (accidentally misplaced a couple L35 IOs). Probably going to rework this when I get a chance. Also the fact that we get 5 levels of powers above our exemp level now may necessitate that I reduce other IO levels to 33 in the future.

Now here's an alternate version of the build gone hog-wild with abusing Hamidon Origin Enzyme Exposures for the Defense/Defense Debuff loophole. It's also softcapped to all types save Psi.

It might not be obvious because the Guides list says it's from Issue 13, but Call Me Awesome's Invulnerability guide is one of the few that's still up-to-date and it's easy to follow when choosing IO sets.

yeah keep meaning to download mids when i get a chance, unfortunately i keep forgettign to do it and cant do it on my work computer you know since im supposed to be working and stuff. anyways gonna get that soon and thanks for the build advice. i have several sets already, just not my more expensive sets like hecatomb and armageddon, only got one of those each and just looked it up yesterday and they go for about 500 million now, i was a little shocked, but anyways thanks again just needed some pointers. what i tried to do before was get my weaknesses shored up by buffing up defense and resistance to energy, fire and psi through enhancement bonuses.

Honestly, you don't NEED the purples. The only reason I have them in the build is because I had them already. that's it. Otherwise Foot Stomp would be frankenslotted and Laser Beam eyes would have a set of Thunderstrike in it.

I like 3 Thunderstrike and 3 Devastation on typed defense builds. Especially on an Invuln or Willpower tank, since the extra regen and HP from Devastation will come in handy.

I'm not sure, but I don't think Dull Pain by itself will HP cap a tank any more after they raised the HP cap.

When you grab Mids, also grab Titan Sentinel. It will let you export your current build in game to the clipboard, which you can then import into Mids.

The thing with going 3 and 3 with Thunderstrike and Devastation is you're missing out on another 1.25% E/N defense on the 6th bonus of Thunderstrike. It doesn't conflict with the 1.25% E/N in Reactive Armor either since it's a "large Ranged Bonus" or some such.

You're correct that DP won't cap your HP, with the raised cap you can't reach it with DP and the +HP accolades... CMA's sitting at 3,504 HP (cap is 3,554) with DP and 2,389 without and I have all the stat boosting accolades (FF Reserve, Portal Jockey, Atlas Medallion & TF Commander). Still I very rarely even need DP with my soft capped build... the durability is more than enough for anything I've tried to date with him.
