Escort to Objective has been weird and buggy since introduced. I had done some experimentation with it a while back but my knowledge is a little rusty on workarounds for its problems. Bear with me and I'll try to mess with it some.

I want to take the escort to a collection/computer. I don't want to be able to use the computer myself, it's just a place to take the escort. I'm not sure how to do that. My first try out of the box ended up using the computer both as something I had to click and as a place to take the escort. Any attempt to change the setting of the collection to be related to the escort led to a circular reference error. What am I doing wrong? |
I might suggest trying to reset the escort after you've made changes to the escort-to object; the system seems to hold on to the last version of things and if you change it (like the name or something), it might be trying to direct to the "old version" of it.
I haven't had too much experience with it, but it buggy and sometimes you have to work around it instead, which is a PITA.
Ok thanks. The escort went to the objective and all that worked fine but because it was in the mission it was also an objective I had to click on (or could).
I guess I could just not put nav text on it and mark it as not required. That'll probably do the trick. I'll try next time I have a chance to mess with it.
Going to a boss is definitely an option. That particular mission has a boss also. Would be a cool way to do a betrayal Escort.
