NCSoft Launcher won't run

Doesn't even start. The only thing that happens when I try to start the launcher is an error message saying "NCSoft Launcher has stopped working, Windows is checking for a solution to the problem" which goes away after a minute with no solution presented. The old updaters don't work either, only their message is "NC.FindLauncherStub has stopped working" instead.

How can I fix this so I can play again?

Hi Flash. How about a little background on the issue.

First, has the launcher ever worked for you or is this the first time you've tried it?
Have you tried deleting the current version of the launcher and redownloading and installing it?
Do you have City of Heroes in the standard directory or a custom directory?

It would also help to see the results of these two programs
CoHHelper and Hijackthis
Which might be able to single out what is causing the problem.

Post your answers and I'm sure that even if I don't get to it immediately somebody else will be here posting possible solutions soon afterwords.
