MA/REGEN?! Any good?
I had some SG members say Regen stinks and only works in PvP. Is that correct?

Regen is a perfectly viable PvE set. It's more click heavy than other sets, but it can be built to perform just as well as any other set.
There are videos floating around of things like: Regens soloing multiple AVs at once, a Regen doing the RWZ Challenge* using nothing but the tier 1 attack, and several other examples of insane achievements.
*If you're not sure what the RWZ Challenge is, it goes like this:
Go to the Rikti War Zone and find a group of level 54 Rikti that contains a minimum of 3 bosses. Engage said group and defeat all of them without dying. You are not allowed to break agro or use any inspirations or temp powers. Iggy Kamakaze's Claws/Regen pulled it off while using no attacks other than Swipe (which is an insane accomplishment, it took him 3 times as long to kill them and he survived the whole time with no inspiration use)

In my opinion in SO leveling play without taking primaries into consideration or applying all the IO set shenanigans to bring regen's defenses up Regeneration is one of the squishier defensive sets - literally living or dying based on how fast its powers recharge.
There are boss types I just won't engage without dull pain and instant healing running because they will *kill* you faster than reconstruction animates (Bane Spider Executioners and Master Illusionists are particularly good at this trick). If you're playing at a setting that gives you one or two bosses per mission that's fine. If you're playing at a setting that gives you one boss per spawn... it's less fine. Doable of course - My bs/regen without any defensive set bonuses took out the better part of 17 or 18 arachnos bosses over the course of 'One Good Spider' - but he had to work for it, where my other scrappers/brutes doing that mission (wp, sr, and shield) didn't.
Once you do apply all the set based shenanigans it's one of the stronger secondaries - when damage does get through to you, you'll always have a heal (or three) to deal with it.
Weight training: Because you'll never hear someone lament "If only I were weaker, I could have saved them."
A lot of people define "strong" or "gimp" around how much player effort is required to survive. Many Scrapper secondary powersets just do their thing without much effort from the player. Regen is all about timing, good reaction time, and (at high performance levels) good planning. It takes more work by the player to do the same thing. Don't get me wrong, though. I don't think you need to be some maestro to play the powerset well. You just have to be able and willing to pay attention. You can't jump in a spawn with Regen and AFK.
I measure "strong" or "gimp" based on what a powerset can achieve, irrespective of how much work it takes by the player to pull it off (to a point). On that metric, while I certainly don't think Regen is the strongest powerset out there, I think it's very strong. Everyone may not enjoy the playstyle that achieving Regen's peak performance asks of the player. Personally, I think it's one of the reasons I really like the set - playing it calls for a lot of engagement by me.

So, I don't have much experience with these 2 powers. Are they good together? I had some SG members say Regen stinks and only works in PvP. Is that correct? Any thoughts/discussion would be a help. I am wondering if I should continue with this toon.
Also, if anyone has a build for this powerset, could you post it please
