Fix the forum signature editor / a personal page

Two for the price of one here.

1. The forum signature editor

There's so much wrong with this thing...

I'm actually not too bad off with the five line signature (see bottom.) Until, that is, I go to edit it.

First, it's too narrow. Smaller than the post editing box - I can't extend it. This is the sum total of what fits on one line:

Code:
|URL="http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.ph
(First bracket replaced because it messed with the code tags.)

... that's awfully small. My three lines below take up five lines. And it's worse when it messes with links...

It should maintain forum links as the final product, not expand them out (unless you want them to,) or otherwise not count that code. I just finished up another guide (the Altaholic's guide to getting to 50.) Can I add it?

No.

Well, I *can,* but it's much more work than it should be. I either have to go in and trim everything out, as with the expanded info my sig's at 21 (!!!) lines (and thus invalid,) or I copy it, try to fit in the lines, then go back and try to re-create links... which, at some point (such as where I am now,) gets to be a bit of a hassle. If I could just copy/paste the sig, or have it stay as is now (with the link code length "invisible" to the editor,) it'd help.

2. The "Personal page."

No, not a full blown web page, but I'd like to have a wider ... I suppose "player info" or "bio" page linked to me, where pertinent information (such as, oh, a more nicely laid out set of links to the guides...) could go. Alternately, people could fit in their SGs and contact info, PVP info, whatever they wanted - within limits of the forum and the mods tolerance. (It would likely not have images on, for instance, but *shrug.*)

Yes, I *can* go make one on Tripod or one of the many blog/wordpress type sites, but that's two sets to maintain. Not to mention copying back and forth doesn't necessarily retain formatting and the like. Keeping it all here would be very nice.

I've reported one or two people because (yes, I have a small monitor, but not THAT small) their sig image took up most of my screen, and it was possible to position it so that, once you added the frames and stuff around a post, it was impossible for me to see any text from that person's post, OR any text from the post below.

That's a ridiculously huge sig image.
