Re-evaluate merit rewards based on completion time in the past year.

Disregard all prior data. That is mostly irrelevant in a game that changes such as this.

Alternatively figure out some alternative way of awarding merits that makes both speed running and "kill most" TFs rewarding.

That is too hard! This at least lies within their current philosophy more :P

Edit: Ideally, I would like that Adeon.

You realize that you're most likely asking for lowering merits -- at least on 50 TFs (with 50+1s and the alpha slot) and anything that's the WTF as people farm it for the incarnate bits/badges, right?

Yes.

What do you think the WST is for? Oh sure, it could just be "Happy reward time for running more tf's!"

Or, it could be a way to get a lot of data on how fast/easy we run these.

I'm not so sure that's universally true. For some TFs, I think the average completion times might actually go up.

Case in point, the ITF. That was one TF that had a lot of speed runs, since a good team can do it in well under an hour, and a great team can do it in like 20 minutes. Recently though, people have been doing shard runs where they kill nearly everything, so it's been taking a lot longer (most shard runs take an hour or more even with a good team)

Does it really matter that much now? The reward merit values are fairly static when benchmarked against other TFs/SFs so if they go up or down as a whole it doesn't make a big difference.

Also the fact that Reward Merits are taking a back seat to non-tradeable rewards means that precious dev time would be used to do what? Alter Merit Rewards by 1 or 2 merits?

With i20, Shards will drop on non-50 activities and will that mean you will ask for the devs to re-visit this whole issue again in two months?
