Lord Recluse's Knockback
Spider Strike and Suppression appear to be mag 18 and mag 20 base, although that's scaled by the AV knockback table and I'm not sure what that looks like. The red tower is also a 200% knockup/back buff. So probably at least mag 60, until the red tower's down.
Other meleers aren't getting knocked around because they have Knockback resistance as well as Knockback protection.
Grounded only has protection.
OMG! How like, totally kewl are these characters?!1
This probably helps to explain why most people usually like to take down the red tower first.

Hrm. So, Electric Armor = bad for tanking Lord Recluse. Good to know, thanks. Boy was I surprised, lol. Rest of my teammates were as well. I thought with the 27 points of knockback protection, that I'd be fine.

Dark and Fire would be even worse regarding knockback. They start with zero.

No. You can still tank LR. You just need to use different tactics.
Such as hover-tanking.
Or playing "chase my tail" with him.
It's only a a sub-optimal choice if you're looking for an up-close and personal, "I'm in ur grill, tankin' ur AV" tank.

Electric Armor is the second best choice (Stone 1st) for tanking Lord Recluse due to endurance debuff resistance, S/L resistance, and energy resistance. You probably need more defense so you don't get hit as often. It would also help if you were playing a Tanker instead so you could cap S/L and E resistances.
I was playing my Super Strength / Electric Armor Brute with a group of friends on a Statesman Task Force. I was the only Brute / Tanker on the team, so I was given the task of tanking Lord Recluse in the final mission, while the Thermal Corruptor on the team kept me alive, and everyone else worked on taking down the towers.
Now, my SS / Elec Brute has 27 points of knockback protection while on the ground, (don't ask). When I began tanking Lord Recluse, he repeatedly knocked me around like I was a school girl. Yes, I was on the ground... well, except for the moments where he sent me flying. This surprised everyone on the TF, and I've never noticed Lord Recluse sending other Brutes / Tankers flying before.
Exactly how much knockback is Lord Recluse capable of?
