Opinions on the Superman: New Krypton saga?

It's on sale on Comixology for the next couple days and I'm thinking about checking it out, but I'm not a regular Superman reader and have no idea if it's actually good or if there are issues I can/should skip. Any Supes fans out there have a take on this storyline?

I was kind of meh on the whole thing. IMO, it went on way too long just to show that neither humans nor kryptonians are as good-natured as Superman, who just kind of floundered around lost in the tug-of-war between his two cultures.

Cool concept, poorly executed. By the end of the day, it feels like a long excuse for all these new weapons that can kill kryptonians.
