Y'know, I look at that and I can totally still see Hugo Weaving's face. I don't know if that means the makeup team took a lot of care in molding the prosthetics to match his facial contours or if I just subconsciously think of Hugo Weaving as Creepy McSkullfaceguy.

I suspect a little of both.

They blackend and then CGI'd out his nose. It was revealed how they were doing it during a visit to the set by Moriarty of Aint It Cool.

I think we are in for a surprise when it comes to Caps costume. This is his WWII costume and I think we will see his modern costume at some point.
