Questions about Rad/Energy...
Rad is a reasonably solid set with decent single target damage (and a stun on it's tier 3 blast) and good AoEs as long as you don't mind getting close. /Energy packs heavy melee damage and lots of stuns... put those together and you should have a decent close range Blaster. Jump in (after using your cone if you prefer), hit Irradiate and Neutron Bomb, and then start punching things and Cosmic Bursting them... you won't mow things down as fast as a Fire/Fire or Fire/Mental but between your energy melee punches and Cosmic Burst you should be able to keep even a boss stunned. I'd recommend going /Ice or /Mace for your epic and building for S/L defense because you'll probably be in melee a lot. Softcapping S/L is expensive but getting to 33% or so (one Luck away from softcapped) isn't bad.
Cascade, level 50 Blaster (NRG/NRG since before it was cool)
Mechmeister, level 50 Bots / Traps MM
FAR too many non-50 alts to name
[u]Arcs[u]
The Scavenger Hunt: 187076
The Instant Lair Delivery Service: 206636
Yeah I find it may be a melee-ish combo which is fine by me since I come from a long line of scrapping and tanking. And I was thinking of Force Mastery as the ancillery to get Temp Invuln, Personal Force Field (for recovery/oh sh*t reasons), and Force of Nature for that last resort God Mode kind of thing. Also it's a concept guy which may seem pointless to some (or a lot) but I like and it adds flavor to the build IMO and part why I was thinking Force Mastery.
I played a Rad/Energy up to level 38, and I found myself hating all the faceplanting. Radiation's attacks weren't dealing enough damage to warrant the long animation times (minus its sweet, sweet tier 3), and the -Defense debuffs were too low to care much about. I loved the heck out of /Energy, and I was frustrated because I WANTED to like Radiation Blast, but all I ever really used out of it were its tier 1, tier 3, and Irradiate.
Too many alts to list.

Did you try slotting the -res proc, in the AoEs ? It does help.
Hello, I haven't had a blaster in years, just because I never really wanted one or had a concept for one. So, I rolled one this afternoon after having a concept idea for one. Made him a Rad/Energy and got him to 6, so far it seems like a powerhouse. Anyone have any feedback on this pair-up? Cons? Pros? Anything is appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
