Help for an Elec/Elec/Ice Blaster?

Alright, so here's my deal. I've had this Elec/Elec Blaster since 2005, and I plan on keeping him. I got a build, and kept it. I've been good all the way until now, where I'm having enormous problems with endurance. It was around when Tier 3 and 4 Incarnate abilities were released that I started having the problems.

I realized that my build was incomplete, so I decided to fill it in. I filled Stamina with Endurance Modification IOs (level 50). I also put Regenerating Tissue into my Hoarfrost, the whole set. This gave me a 5% recharge bonus, which unbalanced the end consumption and end recovery rate. I now run out of end every few minutes, which is restored temporarily with Power Sink.

So, here's my request. Could anyone make me a build that would help me with my problems? I tried using Mids' to design a new build, but it apparently doesn't know that Fitness is Inherit, yet.

You don't have the most recent Mids' then, because it has been updated for both Inherent Fitness and the Alpha Slot.

It might be helpful to post your current build so we can see what you're working with.

Agreed, posting your build would help us to see where you're at with it. And do get the new Mids' build planner as DarkGob suggested--it's awesome!

But also, Power Sink has a base recharge of 60s. So with Hasten and moderate set bonuses, you can get that down to ~30s. It is also auto-hit. So even if you do have end problems... you don't! especially with a fast recharging auto-hit endurance-giver-backer power like Power Sink. just work it more into your attack chain.

Alright. I am unable to get online to see my build right now, but I will soon.

About the Mids' Designer, I had downloaded it just yesterday, but I didn't see and signs of Fitness being Inherit, because I was still able to get it in the Power Pools part of it. I'll check again.

Well, this is my build for what it is worth. I have NEVER had a problem with endurance - between the endurance drained from attacking and power sink the bar barely moves even with toggles running. He's Elec/Elec/Mace, but eh, we cant all be perfect now can we?

I love my blaster - Ranged damage, blapping numbers that make scrappers jealous (softcapped defense helps there, mind you), 2 hold powers, and 2 AOE endurance drain powers. This toon is a master of versatility, but a specialist in none. He can do it all, even if some other AT might be able to do one of those things a bit better.

Note: Short Curcuit is slotted for damage, which you can easily trade out for End Mod if you really wanna drain those mobs. Since I blap a lot, I enjoy having another AOE power in the middle of the mobs that does damage. If you're not softcapped, i would suggest draining endurance to help keep you alive in the middle of the melee mess instead.

keep in mind that if you load an old build into the current version, it won't convert to Inherent Fitness automatically. Instead, it will be treated as a LEGACY BUILD (you will see this displayed where inherent powers are listed). If you deselect your fitness powers, you should be granted inherent fitness automatically.

Alright, got Mids' working.

I have to say, that build looks very appealing, but it seems like a lot of work to become a villain for one power. Also, I like Ice because of Hoarfrost and Hibernate. I don't know how many Master of the XF's would've failed because of me not having hibernate. However, Energy is my weakness, even if I have the same amount of resist/defense in the others. It just somehow faceplants me really well.

I'll give it some thought. I'll probably do it, because Aid Self recharges much faster than Hoarfrost, and I'm really liking the defense and resistance on that build.

Thank you all for responding. Recently I was unable to do a Tin Mage with my friend because of the end problem. Hopefully this gets fixed soon!

Yes, Aid Self is a power that becomes better the higher your defense gets. If you're defenses are horrible, not only is it impossible to get off without being interrupted the heal is too small to be of any real value. But if your defenses are high, it REALLY helps mitigate what damage cuts through your defenses and can be used fairly safely in combat.

And believe me, I hear you about going to villian just to get one power. it can be a grind if you look at it that way - but if you simply enjoy playing your toon, just work towards vigilante slowly and once you unlock villian, do the Patron arc, then hustle back to hero. SHould only take a couple of days and the very large boost to defense is worth it, particularly if you like to get in there and BLAP!
