SS/Stone or SS/Inv

So altitis has hit me again...I'm sure you feel my pain. I ran across an old character of mine, a Stone/SS Tank which was sitting at lvl 14 for about 2-3 years now. I liked the concept, but having lvl'd a Stone Tank to lvl 35 (before having enough funds to pimp out)...yuck. So I thought I would change it to a SS/Stone Brute. It fits the concept better and the Fury will help the damage output a bit. Then I started thinking that maybe, at the high-end, SS/Inv could work better...

So, any thoughts at which has the better survival, both in general, and fully IO'd out (no purps or PvP IO's)? My guess is that /Inv is better before Granite, but then after that, on a Brute, I have no idea. I know of Granite's problems, but with IO's I can fix most of them. /Inv just gets better with IO's. My Brute is sitting at lvl 6....now's the time to re-roll if I'm gonna do it.

If you didn't follow through twice before on Stone Armor, I don't think you will follow through a third time around.

SS/Invuln is my vote, sure running around with GA means you are tougher and harder to kill, but Invuln brutes are notoriously hard to kill to begin with (with a good build).

As a Brute you bridge the gap between aggro holder and mob killer, SS/Invuln is a much better combo for finding the sweet spot between both.

I have a lvl 35 DM/Inv...sometimes he feels kinda squishy...sometimes. He isn't fully IO'd out yet, so it could get better. I have seen /Inv Brutes with perma-Dull Pain, running some 3k hp. That looks intriguing to me, but I don't know how that might compare to the Granite Armor... with Rooted.

Honestly...I'm 50 - 50 on either one.

This. You'll feel the pain even more on the Brute since he gets GA later. So just say no to SA and go Invul. You'll be plenty survivable and you'll actually be able to do damage.

with the invent of IO's, Invul > Stone armor.

Invul has it's groove back. I'd take an Invul on a MoRSF run over a stone since I don't want to have 2 toons just to have one. (Kinetics and a Stone, vs JUST and Invul)
