Rad/Sonic corrupter build help/advice

Hi there,
yesterday I just finished my first toon that acutally uses purple sets and I am very happy with it.

Now I'm looking for a nice buff/debuff toon. Based on the information I found here, I thought a Rad/Sonic corrupter would be an excellent choice. What do you think?

But as I am starting from scratch and as I am still very new to IO-slotting, I'd like to ask, if someone of you can show me a build that I can start off, or develop it to fit my needs. Any general tips are welcome, too

Few things I'd like to have:
- Nice buffs and debuffs for group play.
- Travel power at 14. Fly much appreciated.
- I like stealth and invisibility much, as I also can support my team on speed runs.

While I always appreciate sonic buffs in my team, I don't particularly see the set as memorable in any aspect, and I also don't see any particular synergy with Radiation Blast

Rad Blast actually has pretty decent synergy with /Sonic. Mainly the -def which is (outside of Liquefy) otherwise lacking in /Sonic. The resists and mez protection in /Sonic allow you to use Irradiate freely.

You can also put an Achilles Heel -res proc in Irradiate for spammable -res.

Looking at your build, I've a couple things I'd recommend:

It seems you've built for defense, but a little bit of everything. You've got some melee and ranged defense, but not really enough to make a big difference. If you want to IO for moderate defense in a given area, I'd get at least 32%. That way, a small purple inspiration can put you at the softcap.

My personal recommendation would be to take the Scorpion Shield and build for softcapped smashing/lethal defense. If you put Reactive Armors in your shields (which you've already done with Tough and Sonic Disp) it'll get you a decent way along.

I'd put at least 2, maximum 3 end redux in Disruption Field. It eats a lot of endurance and even with the Cardiac Alpha its important.

You need a lot more recharge in Liquefy. Its got a stupidly long recharge so you want to bring it down as much as you can since its such a great power. I'd put the Achilles Proc in Irradiate since its much more spammable. Focus on recharge first, then tohit debuff for Liquefy.

I'd swap the Dam Ragnarok for the Acc/Rech one. The set will still give great damage enhancement, but you'll get better values for recharge.

Sonic Siphon is underslotted imo. I'd put 2 acc and 2 recharge in it, minimum. Its your main resistance debuff power, so you want it recharging fast so you can throw it around a lot.

Could you explain why you went for the Shield Walls in Weave? I'm pretty sure those can be really expensive whereas you can get similar hp and regen buffs elsewhere.

If you plan on running a lot of TFs, I'd pick up Sonic Cage. Put 2 acc/mez HOs in it and you can take nasty stuff out of the fight for a while. Its great in the Romulus fight, fighting the Freedom Phalanx, Recluses Patrons or any group of EB/AVs, really.
