Optimized slotting for Soul tentacles

ok so.....I've decided I like tentacles a little more than dark oblit because the damage output(although slower because of DoT) is higher, and a group immobilize is useful for someone like me, who constantly stays at range.


I'm unsure of exactly how to slot it though....


I was thinking either 5 ragnaroks, with the chance to hold proc from Gravitational anchor.....

or, 5 gravitational anchors with a damage IO in the end.

gravi is cheaper, and would make the immob. last a lot longer, but the ragnarok almost doubles the damage output for it.

I'm unsure of what to do with it :\


On that subject, I only had room given my powers for one more AoE, and I seem to only be able to slot it with 1 slot, because....all my slots are spread out to other powers.


right now I have psionic tornado 1 slotted with a FF: chance to recharge proc in it, but I'm wondering what would be a better combination given the tentacular extravaganza

I'd go with Posiblast and chance for hold. Posiblast gives you ED capped damage, possibly extra range (cones love that) and a damage proc. Then you also get the hold proc.

Other than that I'd probably just frankenslot it.

Soul Tentacles does good damage, and despite the DoT, is worth slotting as an attack. It can be made perma fairly easily, so there's really not a whole lot of need to slot it for duration, either. The Gravitational Anchor proc wouldn't be too bad if you can afford it, though. As mentioned above, if Ragnarok is too expensive, then screw it, stick a Posi's Blast in there or something. I actually went with Detonation; the extra range enhancement was nice for it, and it's an extremely cheap way to get a decent AoE defense boost.

ahh ok, so 5 posi blasts with the gravi proc will do just fine?




anybody have a suggestion as to the 2nd "AoE" I should have? Should I keep psi tornado or should I drop it for dark oblit or...potentially psi scream.

I only have enough slots to allow the actual AOE attack to have one slot.
