A Very Rare Alpha power costs any 2 Rare Alpha powers to craft. Each Rare Alpha power costs 1 Uncommon Alpha power (from the same tree branch) to craft. Each Uncommon Alpha power costs 1 Common Alpha power.

There's no "wrong" Rare power when you're going for a Very Rare power. Any two Rares will work.

I think they need to correct the info in the tree then, it doesn't reflect that any 2 rares will work.

IE: the recipe for a radial paragon is not
[TC/PC/PR/TR] + [TC/PC/PR/TR] + [salvage cost]
it is
[PC] + [PR] + [salvage cost],
[TR] + [PR] + [salvage cost],
[TR] + [PC] + [salvage cost],
[TC] + [TR] + [salvage cost],
[TC] + [PR] + [salvage cost], and
[TC] + [PC] + [salvage cost].
6 seperate recipes that give the same thing.
(they must, of course, be from the same tree; you can't combine a rare musculature and a rare spiritual.)

Ok something confuses me, so to get to the very rare tiers of the alpha slot tree do you need two rare slots at the same time?
Do you have to re-purchase the first and second levels again to get the 2nd rare power?
I currently have Total Core Revamp equipped so whats next? The tree is a bit confusing in game :/
