I went Elec/DA. You still get one telenuke, which goes nicely with DR for an opening pick-me-up if you're a little banged up. A useful self rez for when **** eventually goes sideways, loads of control, a monster heal, a damage aura, stealth for those times you're feeling lazy, and protection from both psi damage and end drain. All-in-all, a good trade for shield charge.
Then again, there is something to be said for the awe-inspiring, spawn-levelling damage with set-and-forget survivability that elec/shield provides.

I know shield is cheaper out of the box to get working well, what other differences are there/difficulties should I expect with each one?
