I usually do use the Backspace button as well to get the next reply. I do not think I've used the R button for... :O a long time.

The advantage of Backspace is that it actually creates a /tell to the last person to send you tell themselves. This means that if you it Backspace immediately, it will create a tell to that person.
/r sends a reply to the most recent person to send you a tell at the instant you hit the Return key. This means that if someone else sends you a tell while you are typing your reply, you will send it to the wrong person.

During tutorial /r to tells doesn't work -soon as finished its NP and works fine.... FYI (did warn u all i am Super noob)
