I'll bring my fire/kin Bien Cuit.

I would suggest that everyone read the guide. Often it takes longer to explain how things work than the actual CoP trial. Things move pretty fast in Phase 1 and coordination among the three teams is key.

Also any pets (troller pets, mm pets, back-up radio, snow beasts, shivans, etc.) you can bring will help with the AVs target cap.

Virtue - Kalikamata, Dark Indigo, Dharma Moon, Hogo Sochi, Julienne, Nordic Witch, Hot Compress, Kahlen, Sphere of Water, Miss Purrfect, Make Believe, Major Asset, Terra Donna, Kalicious, Fortunata Indigo, Tight Squeeze, Kalika Mata, Mistress Berdine, Guy Buttersnaps
Infinity - Paring Knife, Elphaba Storm, Bien Cuit, Sardonic Widow

Happy to bring my Level 50 Scrapper Comfy Chair.

So, you think you are strong because you can survive the soft cushions? We shall see!

I can bring Dreamsurge (Mind/Rad Controller) or Commander Starlight (En/En Blaster).

Well, I thought that was an awesome try by everyone.

We seem to need a lot more dps to burn him down once we drop the barrier. I noticed that my base ToHit Bonus was often down at 28% in the red, so I am not sure how often we all were even hitting him. I should be respecced to bring Assault and Tactics next time.

Ideas?

Well, sign me (Fitheal McClurichaun - brute) up for next weekend's run!

Next weekend will be low-level tf's to take advantage of double xp. I do want to make a comment on today's CoP. Most of us have never done this, so we did not know what to expect. Also, we started off wrong because everyone was in a different instance! We had to exit then re-enter. We lost a half hour because of that. While I had read the strategy posted by Amygdala, it was still new and confusing to me, as it must have been to others. I learned a great deal, and I think the organization went well. Hopefully, the next time we do this, it will be successful. I thank those of you who were supportive of my efforts even though things didn't work out the way we wanted them to. You are the guys that keep me doing this.

Yeah, a few problems.
1) Mission was bugged and the teams ended up in different instances.
2) We got the AV with storm powers.
3) We sucked like a tornado. (Did you catch that segue? storm - tornado, eh?)

Oops. I don't think I had my Tactics running. My stone tank has Tactics and I often forget to turn it on.

I can't believe I forgot to use Call to Justice. I always forget that when it's most needed.

If we succeeded at everything we attempt to do in this game on the first try, there'd be no challenge. Kudos to everyone who stuck it out, even when it looked hopeless (happened more than once). It is easy to see why this trial is done so very rarely though; unless you have 24 players that have all done it before, there's bound to be some confusion, and the cool-down for a "do-over" is quite discouraging .

Any chance the leaders have a list of who was on which team, so we don't have to wade through passers-by trying to join just because there's a lot of people in one spot? Clearly these forums alone won't provide the required 24 players.

As MsCats remarked during the trial, we did pretty well for a group with many first-timers. Particularly considering we ran into:

- more than one instance. From what I've read about this bug, I don't believe it's known if there's something players do that causes it. It appears to happen randomly. Thankfully, we recovered well enough to continue.

- the purple arch-villain with storm powers. I don't believe the runs I've been on before faced the purple AV. Reportedly, the red AV is easier.

We did better than some other runs I've been on. During my first try, on the test server, the group struggled to destroy the three obelisks in synch. But, Saturday's group steamrollered the obelisks (once we were all in the same instance). So, we excelled at part one of the trial.

During part two, inside the cathedral, we didn't succeed, but we still survived pretty well. On one of my previous runs, the group suffered full wipes.

However, we didn't defeat the Willforge spawns quickly enough to maintain damage on the AV. By the time we defeated the spawns, the AV's health had fully regenerated.

It's difficult to coordinate the efforts of 24 players for such intricate objectives under demanding timing. I thought we got a little better as we went along. Everyone who participated will have a better understanding for next time.

During a previous run that succeeded, the leader instructed a tanker on each of the three teams to remain beneath the Willforge (or, at least, return there before the mobs respawned). This helped to keep the Willforge spawns localized, allowing the remaining team members to return to the Willforge and help their tanker quickly defeat the spawns.

On Saturday, we tried to do so, but we needed to be better. Too often, the Willforge spawns spread out and it took us too long to chase them down and defeat them.

It's a very challenging trial and really requires everyone to be on the same page and up to speed. Plus, lotsa HVAS and Shivans help, too.
