All I gotta do is buy the complete collection in the store and use that to fully upgrade the trial account I have?

Yeah, definatly the Complete Collection & not the pre-purchase. They really should take that down.
Please note also that when upgrading, it will ask for a payment method - however, it will not bill until your accumulated time runs out that it will bill.
You can even cancel the billing right after the account is set up 
Also - as a "Just in case" thing -
please note how you pay your first month after your "free time" -
If Credit Card - Card type (Visa, etc), bank name, and last four digits of the card number (the ones that always are left exposed on a receipt)
If a Game card - the whole number
- Keep this note somewhere "safe" in case you ever get locked out of your account.

I made a trial account for Going Rogue. I'm thinking of buying the game, but I need some clarification first.
I only have the trial account. I've never bought anything else. Do I still have to buy the original City of Heroes/Villains first, and then buy the Going Rogue Prepurchase?
