First thing worth mentioning is, as market prices stand right now (and the following has been true since purples were introduced) it's more efficient to fight +0/x8 if the goal is to make money.
As for a good character to take on +4/x8 fast and easy, I'd say a Fire/SD if you'd like to fight a variety of enemies, or a Spines/Fire if you just stick to specific enemies groups. Lots of powerset combos can work, those are just my personal picks.

Dark/Shield Build Thread
I farm with my Fire/Shield, but only +2x8 (edit: with bosses) since I don't have a heal. That difficulty level balances the recharge of Build Up and Shield Charge with the speed at which I beat each enemy group and get to the next, so it makes for the best rhythm, even if it's not the most efficient from a drops standpoint. I assume an Electric/Shield would farm faster, and then there are Spines/Fire and Spines/Dark as well, though I wouldn't try either of those against +4x8.

I agree with the fire/sd as well. I'm trying really hard to get into an elec/shield, but I just cant. I find the animations just boring. Yes, I know LR is awsome, but still I can get into the rest of the set. I bring this up because, if anything, a farmer is a toon that you have to have fun playing for hours and hours and hours....

Thats the address for a thread in scrapper forums that seemed to have some solid builds. More help than that: build a toon with Mids Hero Designer (google it), post it, and peeps will critique it.

I can run my Spines-Dark at 4/8 no problems. Granted it's vs S/L mobs.

I'm looking to make a farming character, that can take down large groups of x8 +4 enemies down fast, and earn a lot of inf/prestige. Would a scrapper be good for that, and what powersets should I use? Thanks in advance.
