Well I've copied the build into mids (a data chunk or link would have been useful btw) but can't tell what you're trying to do with this. It looks like you're trying to softcap s/l but you only get there when running Invisibility and the +max-end and recovery bonuses seem unnecessary for an elec armour.

Here is a revised build (without power sink). I am going for soft capped S/L defense and will probably go with Cardiac for my alpha (unless that's a horrible idea).

I dislike it. I can't quite put my finger on why, I just don't like the way the build looks. *shrug*



Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

I think I figured out why I don't like it.

Fly and the attacks seem a little underslotted =) but if you can live with fly. Then go for it. Also I dislike that Gloom is slotted for -To Hit, seems a shame for such a good attack... kinda like slotting holds in KO blow.



Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

I have an ElA brute myself. Since the power set does not have any defense to start with, it is a challenge to soft-cap s/l defense. I think you already have an easier time here since you're willing to use the Gladiator +3%.

I reworked your build. For your power choice, if the stealth powers are taken just for LotG, I would drop them, and take combat jumping and fault instead. You can slot an LotG in combat jumping, and you can slot fault for recharge bonus as well. And I think fault is a good utility. I slot your powers differently such that gloom doesn't need to be a set mule anymore. If you want another AoE attack, you can replace gloom by dark obliteration. If there is a gap in your single-target attack chain, you can keep gloom and slot it for damage.

Last time I checked SM's best available ST attack chain is:
Seismic Smash/Stone Fist/Gloom/Stone Fist/Heavy Mallet

You might want to see if your build can run that chain seamlessly.

Why do you have Air Superiority and Soul Tentacles? If they are just set mules, then I'd recommend picking up Gloom and Darkest Night in their place and use Brawl as a set mule instead. Darkest Night's to-hit debuff should make up for any loss of defense.
