So today while reading IO9, I came across a reference to a site with an interesting set of essays about superheroes and legal issues. I read a few thought some of them very interesting and thought provoking. You RP'ers or aspiring authors might want to take a look.

Law and the Multiverse: Superheroes, Supervillains and the Law

"Civilization advances by extending the number of important operations which we can perform without thinking of them."

This actually seems like a interesting site.

Heck, I still have a number of my Champs 4th ed Core book and a number of related releases (Dark Champions and Normals Abound) that relate to Supers and Civilian and Legal interactions. And the "realism" factor of Supers has always been an interesting side thought to me.

Just looked through the last several posts, and that was enough for me to bookmark it for me.

Thank you for the time...

#1. They'd have to figure out who these people are.
#2. In DCU the JLA and JSA and presumably a number of other teams have authority above most of the top people.
#3. In the DCU the world is more unified it seems with things like Checkmate and APES and a number of other groups.

I think the real question is what how does Batman factor into the DCU now considering JLA is more or less a UN for super-powered people to police themselves that bend to the world powers generally... Batman inc however is more or less a single man saying I am going to create this organization of highly trained operatives that will operate outside the bounds of government with them when it is "right".
