pvp is teaching me how to die




Hello everyone, i been really trying to get into pvp, since my tanker and brute were destroyed in 1 vs 1 cage match that another story.

ok since then i made an fire/em blaster(27), em/wp stalker(23) and a scrapper dm/regin (1)

I go to siren call with them (well the two of them anyway) to try and learn pvp better,well it seems like the only thing i'm learning is how to die.

So i,m thinking maybe i should just hold off on them til i get them 50 and can place some pvp type builds in them.

This bring me up to my question,since i'm not using my 50's brutes or tanker

this leaves me with my fire/kin troller whom i dont want to use cuz he my farmer and i haven't heard anything good about them in pvp.

Well anyway this leave me with my sonic/rad corr whom great on teams,but dont know how well he fares here .and i have him build with teams in mind,so my question is

1) how will he do in pvp? is there a reason why i dont see a lot in pvp?

2)what do i need to do to change him from team build to an pvp build

I'M having more fun in zones then in the area if that helps. money not much of a problem

Don't get too discouraged. Yes, you will die. Alot. Especially when you are at the bottom end of the level range of the zone you are in. Remeber, many of the people you are fighting are fully IOd and sporting all the important Accolades, so they have the advantage before the fight even starts. The good news is that it will get better as you learn how PvP works and you level up your characters.

Don't worry too much about getting your characters to 50 right now. Level them up as you normally would and if you enjoy the PvE aspect of the game, then just worry about that. Keep working the zones as you go, and just try to soak up as much information as you can. You will learn more by losing then you ever can by winning. Use your second build for PvP, because they will almost always be different.

Personally, I think it's good to go in at lower levels and learn what you need to do to evade and survive before you get all the powers and IOs. If you can learn what you need before you get all your powers and IOs, it makes it that much easier after you get them.



The 2 best toons that you have listed there are the fire/em blaster and the stalker. Antigonus hit the nail on the head there. Don't get discouraged you will die over and over while you learn evasion and PvP mechanics, i.e. don't root yourself, learn to break line of sight etc. The sonic/rad corr could be built to be okay in zone PvP, but you have to understand that your debuffs will drop everytime you get mezzed, you need much more kb protection, more recharge, more +hp, get your accolades, forget about being the lol flying rad.
