How to target defeated enemies?

What would be a keybind I could use for targeting a defeated enemy?

I have a warshade who specializes in using bodies as playthings, and I figure there might be a way to do this?

Make a man a fire and keep him warm for the day, SET a man on fire and keep him warm for the rest of his life.

I personally find it helpful to define a macro that both targets the defeated foe, and then activates the given power. Even if it only happens to select the target (that happens at times, I sometimes wonder if it's supposed to do that) I can just double click it and the power will go off.

A macro can also be used to drop out of a Form, target a defeated foe, and activate the given power.

Does this keep them from disappearing? I never knew this was possible.

No. If you're too slow on the draw, some powers (specifically when you try to get an extracted essence) will fail.

I use targetcustomnear for improved convenience.

Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

For distance:
target_custom_far

For close:
target_custom_near

Cycle forward (will usually get the closest, but not always):
target_custom_next

Cycle backwards (will usually get the furthest away, but not always):
target_custom_prev

There are advantages and disadvantages with each. However, targetcustomnear will stay on the closest target, even if it is in the process of fading away. Targetcustomnext will go to the next target with a second keystoke/activation of the bind or macro (the command can be used either way), unlike targetcustomnear.
