Recharge Bonus and Percentages

In an earlier post, I said I wasn't going to ask the community at large for math lessons. Unfortunately, it seems that was a lie. =(

So, with the help of Paragon Wiki I believe I now understand the equations for how Recharge (and similarly Endurance) reduction works on powers.

My question is, how are recharge boosts applied to powers? Namely, if a power already has 96% recharge reduction on it, how are other boosts (Accelerate Metabolism, Hasten, Set Bonuses) applied to a power? Could someone show me the equation for this?

Thank you.

Recharge enhancements are basically recharge buffs for the single power which they are slotted into, therefore, you simple add them all up.

Example:

Power A has a recharge of 60 seconds(60/1 = 60)

With 95% RR(recharge reduction) enhancement, 60/1.95 = ~30 seconds

Add Accelerate Metabolism 30%

60/2.25 = ~44 seconds

Add Hasten 70%

60/2.95 = ~20 seconds

2 Notes
1. The recharge cap is 500%(400% recharge buff) or base recharge/5
2. Enhancements count toward the cap of that particular power,
for example if you had 95% recharge enhancement on a power, a 305% recharge buff would cap you for that power.

All caps work this way.
For example, if you were capped on damage from say, Fulcrum Shift, damage enhancements would become completely useless.

Ah, thank you. Sometimes I make mistakes in regards to percentages of percentages and absolute values. Thank you very much for you help.

Now for some more fun :

Let's say 12 seconds into the recharge of power A, Accelerated metabolism wears off.

To figure out the recharge when there's a change mid-stride, it best works to change up how you figure this for a bit :

So, for twelve seconds we have 2.95 recharge.

12*2.95=35.4 "seconds" worth of recharge in those twelve seconds.

60-35.4= 24.6

Then you go 24.6/ 2.65 (1+.95 enhancement + .7 Hasten) = 9.2, roughly.

12 + 9.2 = 21.2
