You can earn shards if you open alpha slot i think. That is a lvl 50 arc in oro that only thr runner gets credit for so even if u sk in that arc you cannot earn shards i think.

I've done some testing, my friend and I had some fun and took turns killing each other and neither one of us got a Shars drop in Siren's Call or Warburg, so I'm thinking you can't earn them unless you are in the level 50 PvP Zone which would be RV.

Tested yesterday and today each for 6 hours straight. Rewards are back but shards only drop in RV (and presumably the arena in matches @ level 50) , not Warburg or Sirens.
