Buying GR for someone else

So I recently started playing CoH with my partner, and I got the GR complete edition (because that was what my trial account had), but since he's a vet he hasn't got the GR expansion, and I was hoping to get it for him for Christmas. If I can't buy it for him through the ncsoft system, and none of my local stores seem to carry it, what's a legitimate way of buying GR online for him?

I bought mine thru Amazon.com:

or you can try EBGames, if you can stand their evil ways...

In case you were wondering, Gwen, the Going Rogue: Complete Collection isn't just for creating new accounts--it can be used to update an existing account as well. The Complete Collection comes with two additional costume sets and auras, a (nearly useless) stealth power, and a free month of game time.

To upgrade an account, one just needs to log in with their CoH account on http://us.ncsoft.com/en/ and click the "Use a Serial Code" link on the right side of the page.

It kinda feels a little unnecessary to buy the whole game when he doesn't need it though - I could spend the money on a booster instead? But thanks for the suggestions! I will take a look.

The Complete Collection is the best way to go, even if he already has the game.

GR Upgrade: 29.99
CC item pack: 7.99
One month of game time: 14.99
Total: 51.97

GR Complete Collection: 39.99

Savings: 11.98

EDIT: If he didn't have the game, change "one month of game time" to "CoH/V: 19.99" and Savings to 16.98.

If you buy anywhere but NCSoft's online store it will be the Complete Collection. Note when you get this version for an existing account, there are two BIG differences from the "Expansion Only" version.

One is the item pack, otherwise $8 or so. The other is the month of play time $11-15 Blair depending on subscription chosen. The expansion-only version comes with niether.

Also, try Steam - it sells account codes you then apply to your account, and if yoiur other has a steam account you can even gift directly to their account.
