I agree totally!, thats why the link goes to the twitter-stream... apparently some reviewers (notably game-industry professionals) have had an advance-viewing and according to them its a knee-jerk scaremongering job!.
We'll have to wait and see. I think it focuses on one kid and WoW, but hopefully they'll take a broader view of the MMO scene.
Thing is, MMO's are inherently different to most games, due to the social aspect of it. A lot of the addiction people get to MMO's are due to the personal connection to people in it.
Saying that though, with the advent of voice comms in a lot of online games now, that's probably still relevant.

I agree its definately the social aspect of an established community in an MMO structure that keeps people dropping-by in-game, even when potentially any game content itself is thinning.
Watched this, and it was about as balanced and reasonable as you'd expect from previous forays into the subject matter.
I especially liked when, after telling us how scary gaming addiction is, how it's wrecked lives and outright kills more than 2 people per year in South Korea... the ex-addict advises gamers to "put down the controller, go out, and get smashed". (the interviewer suggests the same thing earlier in the documentary, though far less explicitly)
Well, the majority of that was the usual biased nonsense. Typical parents trying to blame the games and the gaming industry rather than themselves. How can they not notice when their son is playing games for 10-12 hours straight? Can't possibly be their fault, has to be WoW or Call Of Duty.
And nice how rather than put a human face on Blizzard, we just get text of what they said, clever de-humanizing tactics.

Still, It made me feel guilty about logging on for duty tonight. Gotta be that rat pushing the pedal for random chance of in-game treats. Gimme reward NCsoft... GIMME REWARD !!!.
