I have the same problem. Perhaps the client and server disagree on whether the 30-second timer is done or not.

I believe it's cos of this, or something similar. With the new log out to Character Select option I think it works by autologging you in and selecting the server, rather than just logging back to the Character Select. If it tries to do this before the server has finished counting you get kicked back to the log in screen.
Same issue here. And I also used to get the "Already logged in" error when switching characters the old fashioned way. I haven't had "Quit to Character Select" work for me yet.
Not a big deal since I'm used to the old way but apparently not a unique issue either.
Oh good, it isn't just me.. i mean, first time it happened, i thought someone had hacked my account or something.

Had this happen today as well.. Did a log out to character around 4 AM, switched to check auctions then Quit to Desktop. About 12 PM today, I went to log in and got the message for the first time. Logged back in again and everything was fine... then went to quit to character select and was kicked back to the main log in screen.
A new problem to me, but yeah... as long as my account isn't being hacked, I'm not too worried!
We are aware of the issue -- it is a bug. You aren't being hacked.
I have encountered a couple of problems with this.
Sometimes it sends me back to the main login screen instead and blanks my password, telling me that I have to enter my name and password. Sometimes it tells me that I'm already logged in.
This has never happens to me the first time I switch characters, but it happens nearly every time after that during the session, especially if I change servers. Testing server switches wasn't possible during beta because I could never log in to the other beta server.
I also notice that if I back out to the main login page after logging out to switch characters my password is already filled in (there are **** in its place). However, if I log in normally, go to the server selection page, and then back out to the login page the password is not filled in.
This a potential security problem, but since it's already allowing us to change characters that particular horse has probably already left the barn.
Ok, been getting hit with the message most times since the new issue went live, when i try to log back to character selection screen.. while not game breaking or anything, it's starting to finally annoy me to the point i no longer can just ignore it.
Granted, the issue has existed before I19, with me randomly getting the: This account is already logged in/etc message at totally random times when i try to swap characters/log back in after a game session, but since it now (most times) prevents the use of character selection log out, got to wondering.. anyone else suffering with something similar or is it just me?
