Vigilantes and Merit Conversion
Only heroes can get into Fort Trident and only villains can get into the Crucible, so, no.
Interesting fact: If you convert from villain to rogue while standing inside the Crucible, it does not kick you out. Once you exit, though, it won't let you back in.

Alright, thanks a lot for the reply.
Much appreciated!

Huh! I heard someone saying once that they'd successfully done it. Never tried.
In theory (and in my experience), Rogues and Vigilantes can't even get in.
In practice, there may well be some exploit that lets you do it. Maybe Recall Friend will get you in. I have not tried that. I only tried the front door.
Edit: Well, duh. I logged in to try and test this and was immediately reminded that Fort Trident and the Crucible are separate ZONES, so Recall can't work.
Anyway, from what we have been told, it is not possible for Rogues and Vigilantes to even HAVE alignment merits. I most definitely have not tried to test that. I made sure to use up any A-Merits before changing alignment.

I can tell you that you lose them when you change alignments. I forgot I had one to spend until I was looking at the "do you really want to do this?" prompt. I wasn't going to go through two more days of waiting for that merit's value, especially on a character swimming in Reward Merits, so I switched, and lost it.
So since you do lose them, and there's supposedly no way to earn them doing tips (you just get Reward Merits), that would only leave getting into the two forts and buying them outright as the only way you could earn them.
I'm going to guess the devs (or someone in beta) thought about TP Friend, but I haven't tried it.

My main character was villain alignment and I had done all the missions to switch to Rogue, including the Morality mission. When the pop-up appeared, asking if I really wanted to change alignments, a thought occurred to me. Didn't I have 2 villain merits? I checked and, yes, I did. What to do.
Well, thinking back to the days of speed Katie runs when you would leave the reward window open until you could claim another reward, I decided to try that.
I left the pop-up alignment window untouched, went to the Crucible, used my 2 merits to buy a recipe, then clicked the reward window button to change my alignment. I changed from Villain to Rogue while standing in the Crucible with no problem. After I left, though, it wouldn't let me back in.

I'm sure this has been answered plenty of times before....but my search-fu is weak tonight I guess.
When in Vigilante Allignment, is it possible to convert Reward Merits to Hero/Villain Merits? And if so, where do I go? I'm sure you could just answer me with a JRanger, but even a linky would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
