Yep, I've got a lethal/smashing, softcapped perma-dom Plant/Psi. I typically run her at +2/x8. Single target damage is a little on the weak side, but it generallly rolls through even troublesome groups like Malta.

I also have the Ice/mastery patron on my alt build. And i use that to take on +4/8 mobs in AE. The only issue for both of these builds is that you need to have a huge mob around you to keep your end up. And like was said b4 /psi is a lil on the weak side when it comes to ST damage. My plant/psi was actually my first villan, i have 4k+ hours on it for in-game time. It is a really fun toon, and the plant/ primary is one of the best primaries for going W A Y past the aggro cap 'cuz of creepers imho.

Also, it is easy to clear rooms as long as you know your limits. My limits are about 60+ npcs all at once give or take a few. The mobs need to be mostly melee,range and s/l, psi for this to work too.
Also remember other builds can solo TF's, and take out AV's and such, this is not that type of build. I am working on one of those types of builds currently, but if you are interested in the solo tf's speak to Kahlan or Fiery enforcer. They have pretty nice builds for solo tf's.

My plant/psi is my main for teaming... currently running 173.75% Recharge, 30% def S/L and Perma Drain Psyche.
Took FireMastery and running about 65% res to S/L too... it steam rolls rooms on +4x8.
Consciousness: that annoying time between naps.

I did my respec yesterday and would be interested to compare. I haven't gone for softcapping, mainly recharge and HP as it is a PvP dominator.
I have never really struggled with mobs or anything but the psi nerf (from a while ago) has slowed it down somewhat. I have put some procs in which should hopefully allow me to steamroll things a bit faster again .
