Hello everyone. I am back in playing CoH and I have a WP/Fire tanker already IOed out with some sets but I would like to do some more tweaks to the sets to make him completely finished and maxed out. He is mostly solo PvE so I am not looking for taunt powers. I do alot of AE farming and solo TFs alot. This is his build so far and I know there is always some rule with IOs that will probably already have a flaw in my build but if you guys can take a look at the build and reply with some ideas or better builds I would really appreciate it.

Issue 19 is coming out VERY soon. The main feature people are excited about is the change of fitness pool to inherent powers. Planning a build around Issue 18 seems like a waste at this point, because you may only get to play with that build for a few days before you feel the need to respec for I19. If you don't get the modifications to Mids, save your intended slots for health and stamina by dropping them in a power like sprint and rest.

You should take Indomitable Will ASAP, not at 49. Your status protection power keeps you from being held, stunned, or knocked back. This WILL keep you alive, because many toggles are suppressed when mezzed. This also saves you a slot that you could pull from High Pain Tolerance because you don't need that KB protection.

Try to put at least two, but preferrably three recharges in Hasten. You got a lot of recharge in your build, but you just need a couple more recharges in Hasten to ED-cap it. You have a lot more global recharge than you need to make Hasten permanent. You could potentially get more defense instead of global recharge.

Some further observations:

What is your attack chain? You have only AOEs. This really isn't wise... oh wait, I found Greater Fire Sword. That's it.

Putting a +recharge proc into kick is a bit of sleight of hand when really you are never going to use that attack. Well, at least, you shouldn't with only that one proc in there. But you really have no other attacks to cycle.

Willpower is typed defence, not positional defence, but you have gone for a number of positional defence sets (obliteration x2, touch of death).

For some reason you have a knockback resist IO in there?

I think you need to go back to some of the basics and get a real attack chain happening and then look at what else you want to do. Attacks need 1-2 SOs of accuracy, 3 SOs of damage, and a mix of recharge/endurance as necessary. Toggles should have 3 SOs of defence/resist and some endurance reduction too. I'd honestly not even look at set IOs until you build the basics of it adequately and then start to go further.

There is Kick in the build, active, with the 100% recharge proc on it. It gives the illusion of high recharge but doesn't really have it.

Yea there are a few weird things in there like that recharge on Kick, it was because I had nothing else to put there, I have plenty of spare influence, and thought what the hell if i sprinkle it in I might get the effect a couple times. Yea ima hang low for now, probably level a controller until i19 comes out then I am going to have to reform the character completely.
