With the halloween event coming to an end soon and i19 right around the corner, I figured I'd go ahead and make up a post i19 build for my ill/rad/primal controllwe (who's rapidly approaching 50 in preparation for the event)

Here's what I got. 212.5% total recharge. (right now it's at 150% total recharge, I'm buying a new set or two every day ever since I hit 40)

Overall, pretty good -- I see what your goals were. A couple of things concern me. Your accuracy in Flash is low. You need more Accuracy more than Recharge in that power. Remember it has a 20% accuracy penalty. You could change the Lockdown to an Acc/Mez Hami-O, or at least something from a set with accuracy.

Enervating Field really needs a second EndRdx. I suggest pulling the Lockdown out of EM Pulse for that.

Your Damage in Phantasm is low. However, slots are in short suppy to keep the bonuses you want. The only other slot I see that's optional is the Achilles Heel in RI, which is boosting overall damage. It depends on how much you use each power, but I would probably move that slot to Phantasm for a common Damage.

Personally, I would take Recall Friend over Air Sup unless you mainly solo, but that's a playstyle choice. But since you have Mutation, I would guess that this will be a team character sometimes. Recall Friend allows you to be an effective team spy, and to pull teammates out of trouble.

Well, having Air Superiority would let me keep a full attack chain even while exemplared below 36, but I see your point.

Okay, on an incomplete version of the build... (still have stamina non-inherent, and only 193% global recharge) I soloed the heck outta Scrapyard. Took a little while to whittle him down, though.

Also, do you have any tips on how to deal with holds and other things?

I still get killed that way on other missions, it's annoying.

Yep -- Phantom Army and Phanty and his Decoy should be drawing the attention of the foes. Then use Deceive a lot on any foes who have much of a chance to do something to you, and they will do it to the other foes instead. And then there is Spectral Terror and RI that should keep you from getting hit.

My playstyle with Ill/Rad is not overly aggressive. Solo, I focus more on my safety first, then mostly single-target damage -- I take down one foe while the others are distracted. I can even handle ambushes that way too, by trying to have the ambush intercepted by PA and/or Spectral Terror. Anybody who gets through then gets hit with Deceive or Blind. That Malta Tip mish that most people hate because of all the ambushes? It is easy for my Ill/Rad.

If you are getting hit with a lot of holds and other things, it is probably because you are not setting up enough of your controls before attacking.
