I do not know much about Claws, but here is some data stolen from someone who spent way to much time devising attack chains:

As far as increasing survivability, that is harder. I ran a Willpower Brute as my main for the last year. I built him for recharge. I used tough and weave, and I/O'd him, but with an eye towards damage and recharge. Actually he was sturdy, but not tanky. If you want to make this guy Tanky the traditional wisdom is to try to softcap Smash/Lethal Defense. This will cost a fair penny, and will tie up a lot of the direction of your build, but I understand it can be done.
My new main is a Dark/Invul (very tanky), I thought about a Claws/Will. If I was gonna do it, I would again go for massive recharge/damage, and maybe add Energy Mastery Epic set to get more healing going. With the extra End from that could even grab an extra Leadership toggle, (also do not forget combat jumping, the more toggles you run, the better life will seem)
Here's a build I use, a little on the costly side, but it covers most all of the bases. It's softcapped to S/L/E/N, solid resists that can be boosted by SoW, excellent regen and recovery and a fully slotted attack chain.

Hello,
Hoping you can help a new player with a solid build for claws/willpower. I am looking for decent defense/resists and good soloability. I can spend the time farming up the money, so If it is a little pricey that's ok. I have done a search but the number of builds seems limited for this mix... so any input or favorite builds from the more experienced of you would help me greatly. One thing I am looking for is a smooth chain of attacks (which is why I chose claws). Thanks again for your help.
P.S. if you could post the mid code as well that would save me a lot of time.
