People Like This...

It's people like this that make me have hope for the rest of humanity.

I play Aria Evermore on Virtue, and this nice person decided to portray breast cancer survivors as heroes, in tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness month (Oct.). I found it very refreshing as well as somewhat eerie, since my mother just got out of mastectomy surgery for just this reason a scant few days ago. It dang near made me cry.

This just made me feel really good. My mother was also very appreciative.

Wow, Riniling. That must have been unnerving at first. I wonder if Chemogirl is a person who administers chemo treatments to cancer patients in real life.

I hope all goes well for your mother, and that her recovery is quick! Lots of prayers heading her way.

I hope your mother has a speedy recovery from her surgery and can move on with her life and my hats off to Chemo Girl.
Anyone who knows a survivor knows what a hero really looks like. A very fitting portrayal.

Thanks. It was sort of unnerving at first, but the more I think of it now, the more I am positive about all of the support that survivors get from the community. It does my heart good.
